These are indirect pronouns.  They are used when the subject is doing the action to a third party, e.g. I said to him – LE DIJE.  The indirect pronoun is placed before the verb in most cases.

 

Examples

 

Él me da – He /she gives me

Te miro – I look at you.

Le doy . I give him/her.
