Gustar is one of those verbs which always seems to cause problems. The verb itself is easy to use. The problem lies in the translation of this verb. Most people try to translate the word gustar as to like when in fact a much better translation is to be pleasing to. This verb is only used in the third person IT and the third person plural THEY. It is pleasing to me or they are pleasing to me. In order to use this verb, we need to use the Indirect Pronoun me – to me, te – to you etc.
